Dutch post-doom metal band Façade marks their return with the release of their new EP "Radiant", set to drop on June 1, 2025. Known for their atmospheric heaviness and emotional depth, Façade presents a project that revisits their foundations while exploring new ground. This two-track release features the brand-new title track "Radiant" and a reimagined version of their early piece "Veil of Deceit". The EP will be available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and YouTube, with a limited-edition digipack available for pre-order via the band’s official Bandcamp store.
Formed in 2011 in Dordrecht, Façade has remained a consistent presence in the Dutch doom/death metal scene. Their 2019 album "The Eternal Dance" was praised for its conceptual depth and immersive tone. After a period of silence during the pandemic, the band has returned with "Radiant", bringing with them a more focused and experimental sound.
“Radiant represents a turning point for us,” says vocalist Ben de Graaff. “We used this release to experiment with new textures, effects, and production techniques, and we believe this is our strongest and most detailed production to date.”
The EP was produced in collaboration with Jonathan Merrelaar of Red Pack Productions, whose input helped shape the band’s evolving sound. “Jonathan really helped us bring our vision to life,” the band says. “It was an excellent collaboration, and we’re incredibly thankful for his guidance throughout the process.”
"Radiant" also marks a lineup shift, with Conrad Stroebel departing the band on good terms. Now operating with two guitars instead of three, Façade leans further into synth layers and expansive effects. The result is a sound that remains grounded in doom but allows for broader sonic exploration.
Live shows are being planned, and the band is already writing their next full-length album, with recording expected to begin later in 2025.
